My Story
Janiebee was created in November, 2009, when I decided to combine 25 years of quilting and embellishing techniques and applied them to high quality girls' and babies' clothing.
I designed some things for my 6 year old niece, Emma, (photo)
and she became my muse and advisor...she's the most honest person I know!
Summer, 2010, Mom (my sister) Emily, suggested I make some nap mats. After much research and lots of trial and error, I designed the Janiebee Quilted Nap Mat. These generously sized mats are great for pre-school, daycare, sleep-overs, trips to Grandma's and anytime a little nap is needed. Wonderful Toddler Nap Mats.
This website was created to keep you informed of my latest nap mat designs and offer them for purchase. Everything is machine washable/dryer safe.
I use 100% quilter's cotton, flannel, fleece and Minky.

Why janiebee?
My mother's name is Jane and my Dad affectionately calls her Janie. In 1999, my two year old niece died in a tragic auto accident. Her name was Sarah Beth, but we called her Bee.
Janiebee began from my memories of carefree, childhood days in Mississippi, swinging from vines and playing in the creek with my sister Pam, and lessons in sewing from my grandmother, Momma Dean.
Nap Mats by Janiebee celebrates the life of Sarah and the joy that all little girls (and boys) bring!
